Removes tape from DLT data cartridges and deposits it in a receptacle for disposal.   Empty cartridges are free of debris and may be reloaded.  The Unwinder handles fifteen cartridges unattended, under PLC control, at the rate of 1 cartridge per minute.

Tests peak tensile force required to pull VHS cassette leader tape clear of hub clamps.   Hub table is actuated electrically at a calibrated speed.   Peak force is measured and read from a digital force gauge.
